Nettle Tap - Anthophila fabriciana

Nettle Tap -  Anthophila fabriciana-is  a new moth find for us

A micro moth -wingspan 10-15 mm.  A small, but very common species.

It flies in the daytime from May throughout the summer. It was photographed today resting on Ox-Eye Daisy beside a large clump of nettles (Urtica dioica), which is the larval food plant.
