Kilteevan Gathering Sunday Events

Novelty Games include

• Welly Throw : Can you get the boot in the barrel?! 
• Aim – Shoot – Score : Kick the football through the tyre to become a finalist!
• Buzz : How steady is your hand?  If it’s not, you and most of Kilteevan will hear about it!
• Hit – the – Nail : New this year!  Can you hit the nail hard enough in one strike to sink it fully?
• Ready-Peggy-Go : How quickly can you get the pegs on the clothes line?
• Strike :  Another new novelty this year.  Can you hit the ball with the hurl once it’s rolled down a pipe? And how far can you hit it? Furthest distance wins!
• Shoot-a-Hoop : Basketball game
• Guess the Bale’s weight: Nearest guess in Kilos wins €20! Kindly sponsored by John Dolan Service
• Hoopla : Hook a hoop to become a finalist!
• How Many Sweets? Guess how many sweets in the jar – nearest guess wins the sweets!

For Younger visitors we have:

• Pony Rides
• Face Painting
• Ducky Dip Game: Hook a duck – win a teddy!
• • Cards-for-Teddies: Pick a card, match to teddy, win that teddy!

All activities cost 50c.  There will be a central desk for purchasing tokens at 50c each which can be used at any of the novelty games.  The token area will also contain a second-hand book stall and the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for draw later in Paddy Finn’s Bar. 

A Café and small shop will be in operation.  All items will cost one token.

In addition to the above, a series of races will be held including sprints for Toddlers, U6, U8, U10, U12 and U14 all split into boys and girls.  There will also be an U8 and U12 Sack Race, Wheelbarrow Race, and 3-Legged Race.

For adults, we will have Couples 3-legged; Mens and Womens races – so wear your runners!!

Finally, we will have a Kids Tug-O-War, and a short U12 Football challenge match.

Raffle:

Raffle tickets will cost €1/strip;

• 2^nd Prize €30 sponsored by Kilteevan Wheelers Cycling Club;
• 3^rd Prize €20 sponsored by Kilteevan Community Alert.

After all that activity, join us in Paddy Finn’s Bar for a tasty barbeque where delicious beef burgers and hot dogs will be available with chips and a selection of salads for €5 per adult/€3 per child. 

Enjoy the barbeque accompanied by the wonderful music of the Band 2 Brigade, Custume Barracks, Athlone who will play in the grounds of Paddy Finn’s Bar (weather permitting).  Should the weather not co-operate, the Army Band will play in the Community Centre.
