Planting at the Cross Roads!

The time has come to do some flower planting.

We all want Kilteevan to look its best for the forthcoming Tidy Towns Adjudication so we are inviting our volunteers who enjoy this kind of work, to join us on Saturday morning(May 23rd. ) at 10.00am at the crossroads to help plant the beds around the Community Centre.

Please bring your own tools and gloves.

The flowers await you. Don’t let them down!

Kilteevan Community Development Group nominated for Pride of Place Competition

Kilteevan Community Development Group Ltd. has been nominated by Roscommon Co. Council to represent County Roscommon in the All -Island Pride of Place Competition (Category 2, Population between 300 and 1,000).

Adjudication will be taking place between mid June and the end of August.

We will be establishing a Pride of Place committee in the immediate future to assist us in preparing for the competition so we will be in touch  with communbity members shortly. All we have to do now is to think now about convincing the adjudicators that we really are the best small community on the island!   We all know it’s true! 

We feel honoured to have received this nomination and believe us, we will not let Co.Roscommon or Kilteevan down.
