At the request of Kilteevan Community Development Group Limited, Paul Healy community member and editor of The Roscommon People read his contribution for Kilteevan Gathering Time Capsule. The piece written Thursday 15th August 2013 and was titled
An hour in a day in a year in a life in a parish.

The response to the reading was prolonged applause and following numerous requests to hear the piece again we have decided, with Paul Healy’s kind permission, to share it with you all.

7.30 pm – 9pm approx.

You are welcome to come and go during the walk. Walk will be followed by a short community presentation in the community centre to launch your strategic plan.

Eileen Fahey, Kilteevan Community Development Group, welcomes Owen, John and Tom Brennan to Kilteevan Gathering.

Having taken the opportunity to draw breath, Kilteevan Community Development Group would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all who helped in any way, to make Kilteevan Gathering 2013 such an overwhelming success.

The Gathering created a greater sense of community spirit and gave wonderful publicity at home and abroad to our community. We should all feel very proud that our village made headlines on the local, national and international news media. The sense of pride among the local community during the Gathering Weekend and Heritage Week is something that will remain with us for a long time to come.
