A beautiful reminder from the pupils of Kilteevan National School.

Every Day is Earth Day- We wish everyone at home and abroad Happy Earth Day 2023.

Together, with our very earth conscious Junior Tidy Towns members, we are making climate change and biodiversity central to all our actions.

By working together to make our community better and healthier we can help save the planet and help to reduce poverty, inequality and injustice in the world.

Kilteevan Tidy Towns is a member of the Community Wetlands Forum(CWF) since 2017. The Forum was a major support to us as we began to reimagine The Cloonlarge Loop.We are honoured to be selected in 2023 as one of the participants in in the Study Visit hosted by the CWF outlined below .

Connecting Communities with Peatlands

Explore the importance of community-led conservation with our study visits to four peatland projects in the Midlands!

Join us as we visit Scohaboy Bog (Tipperary), Cloonlarge Bog (Roscommon), Carrowbehy Bog (Roscommon), and Cloncrow Bog (Westmeath) to learn about the crucial role these bogs play in our communities. Led by local community members, you'll gain a unique perspective on the history, ecology, and conservation efforts of these special habitats and hear from stakeholders involved with the project.
