IPB Pride of Place Awards Ceremony 2015- Live Broadcast

The IPB Pride of Place Awards ceremony is taking place in Treacy's West County Hotel, Ennis, Co. Clare, on Saturday, November 14th.

Co Roscommon has four nominations in this year’s competition.

Kilteevan Community Development Group will be represented on the night by Eileen Fahey (Chairperson) and Fiona Coen (Secretary).

The entire ceremony will be broadcast live online from 7.30pm on Saturday, 14 November 2015.  We are delighted that our community living abroad will be able to share the experience with us online. All you need do is log on to www.prideofplace.ie or  www.clare.ie and follow the link through to the live broadcast.

More than 100 groups nominated by local authorities all over the island of Ireland are participating in this year's competition, which is regarded as Ireland’s most prestigious all-island community awards. The event will bring together community representatives and local authorities from the island of Ireland in a celebration of community spirit.

We wish our Kilteevan representatives Eileen and Fiona and all Co Roscommon representatives every success on Saturday night. 

Kilteevan Men Conquer sea2summit Westport Adventure Race

 

On Saturday November 7th 2015, an unusually mild morning, over 2100 athletes took the ultimate challenge of Westport Sea2Summit– one of Ireland’s largest Adventure Races.

Among the participants were Kilteevan men John Gilleran and Adrian Coyle.

The gruelling course takes competitors through an intense journey of road running, mountain cycling and the challenging uphill run to the summit of Croagh Patrick

The challenge is as folllows

John and Adrian completed the challenge as follows

John Gilleran came in 8th position time 3hrs.00.

Adrian Coyle came in 97th position time 3hrs.45mins

Congratulations and well done John and Adrian for succeeding in completing this extreme sporting challenge  We are very proud of your achievement.

It's that time of year again....yes, you've got it "It's Turbo Time...Setting  up tonight (November 3rd.) at 9pm in Kilteevan Community Centre.  All are welcome, young and old, fit and unfit ,we cater for everyone. First class on Thursday night (November 5th) at 9:00  and every following every Tuesday and Thursday between 9 and 10:00 . We are looking forward to seeing you all there.
