It is with great joy that we announce that Kilteevan Community Development Group won a Runner up Award in Category 2, Main Awards at the Pride of Place Gala award ceremony in Ennis last night(November 14th). The competition, an extraordinary celebration of comunity spirit, is sponsored by IPB Insurance, Co-operation Ireland and the Local Authorities in Ireland North and South.
Eileen Fahey and Fiona Coen accepted the trophy and cheque on behalf of the Kilteevan Community. They were joined on stage by Sean Mooney and Michael Coyle, Cllr Pascal Fitzmaurice Leas Cathaoirleach Roscommon Co Council. Cllr Kathleen Shanagher and Amanda Scanlon, Pride of Place Co -ordinator Roscommon Co Council.
To everyone who worked with us and supported Kilteevan in the past 13 years we say a big thank you.
Special thanks also to Amanda Scanlon, Pride of Place Coordinator Roscommon Co Council for her wonderful support.
We will have a hooley soon to celebrate. We deserve it!
Together we have done so much for our small community.

On Saturday November 7th 2015, an unusually mild morning, over 2100 athletes took the ultimate challenge of Westport Sea2Summit– one of Ireland’s largest Adventure Races.
Among the participants were Kilteevan men John Gilleran and Adrian Coyle.
The gruelling course takes competitors through an intense journey of road running, mountain cycling and the challenging uphill run to the summit of Croagh Patrick

John and Adrian completed the challenge as follows
John Gilleran came in 8th position time 3hrs.00.
Adrian Coyle came in 97th position time 3hrs.45mins

Congratulations and very well done to Anne Gilleran, Mark Gilleran and Joe Fox who completed the 26.2 miles in the Dublin City Marathon 2015. You are an inspiration to us all. Savour your success.
Our Congratulations to Michael Coyle (Beechwood) who completed the Dublin City Marathon 2015 on October 26th in an unbelieveably impressive time of 3 hrs .37.48.- a faster rime than his 2014 marathon. Michael ran to support Join Our Boys Trust and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy .
You are inpirational Michael we are all very proud of our Marathon Man.
