Congratulations to Laura Croghan who graduated from NUIG with a Foundation Certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action on Saturday 18th October 2014.

Laura was one of fifteen young people chosen in Roscommon for the Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative programme.  Laura was representing St. Josephs GAA Club Kilteevan.

The unique Youth Leadership Programme, honouring one of Ireland's greatest leaders, the late Dermot Earley (RIP), was organised by the National University of Ireland Galway, Foróige, and the GAA.

The programme aimed to help young people develop the skills, inspiration, vision, confidence, and action plans to be effective leaders.

As part of her course Laura organised the very successful Ceol, Craic agus Caint,

St. Patricks Day Celebration in Kilteevan this year.

We hope Laura inspires other people to train in leadership and community development.

Laura is currently a 5th Year student in Convent of Mercy, Secondary School, Roscommon.
