Activities for Children & Youths

  KILTEEVAN YOUTH CLUB

Kilteevan Youth Club was set up in September 2011 to cater for the needs of the youth of the community. It is affiliated to Foróige, the national youth organization which provides information and advice on the successful running of youth clubs.

Membership of the club is open to all secondary school pupils up to and including 18 years of age. It is open to both boys and girls. The purpose of the club is to provide a venue where young people can meet and enjoy each others company under the supervision of adult leaders.

Leaders encourage the members to take control of their own club and its activities. Kilteevan Youth Club offers its members a varied programme of activities and entertainment which incorporates sport, games, quizzes, social outings and involvement in various fundraising events.

To date, the members of the youth club have raised and donated funds to St Vincent de Paul, Kilteevan Community Centre and Kilteevan Senior Citizens party through coffee mornings they have organised and held.

Outings have included the Hype Youth Festival in Longford in 2012 and 2013, bowling and pizza nights. We have also held DVD nights in the centre with pizza delivery!

This year we hope to take in a musical theatre performance of West Side Story in November as one of our first outings of the year!

Times: Friday : 8.00 – 9.30 pm
Price: €20 annual membership fee to Foróige plus €2 per night for use of Centre.
